How I Spent My Summer Vacation

We have recently returned from a trip down to Florida to see both sets of grandparents. We had a great time, but it is a long drive with two little ones. They did incredibly well, but we all still got a little crabby after more than 20 hours in the car.

Our time in Florida was lots of fun and the kids practically lived in the water. Here are a few highlights of the things we did:

The number one order of business was to spend lots of time in the water.


They both loved swimming in grandma & grandpa's pool, but we only managed pictures of Dorothy. We were so busy swimming with Malcolm, that we forgot to take any pictures. He got very brave and was starting to try to swim without assistance by the last day.

We hit the beach on each coast. Malcolm loved swimming on the West coast and everyone played in the sand on the East coast. We went and looked at the sea turtle nests that were just a little way off from where we were on the East coast.

We also got in touch with some wildlife at the Mote Aquarium and the Brevard Zoo.

It was a fun trip and the kids had a great time, but we are all glad to be home again.
