Easter Fun

Easter tends to be pretty low key around here, but we do have fun dying eggs, having baskets of goodies, and doing an egg hunt in the yard.  It's also a great excuse for me to dress the kids really cute.

 This year, we used stickers to create patterns on our eggs.

 We always do both brown and white eggs and it's interesting to see how the dye is different on each kind.

 The kids' baskets.  Lots of books and activity books this year.  They each got a Moomintroll book.  Malcolm got the next one in the series we are reading as a family.  I couldn't get the next two, so Dorothy got a picture book instead.  The artwork in her book is just lovely.

 The grown ups don't usually get an Easter basket, but we did this year.  It's mostly wine and chocolate, with a fancy teacup for Tara and a tiny Flash doll for Kevin.

 Lookin' sharp.  I'd rather Dorothy could have gone without the sweater, but the silver sweater and shoes are cute with the blue eyelet dress.  I had white patent mary janes for her to wear, but those will have to wait until things warm up a bit.

 We always hide the eggs at night, after the kids are in bed.  This is the first time we have ever had a squirrel problem.  Some lucky squirrel has a special Easter with a feast of two chocolates.  This is how we found it.

 Dorothy was happy there were no jelly beans this year since she isn't a fan of them.  The bunny switched to chocolate eggs for half and coins for the other eggs.

We will be going out for pizza later, as is our family tradition.
