We went to the local pumpkin farm today while Grandma and Grandpa were visiting, and it felt like it was about 90 degrees. We all had fun and were exhausted at the end, so I guess it was a success.
There are lots of different cut outs where you can take pictures. We didn't even do half of them, but still managed to get several. The kids were even in decent moods and agreed to stand and pose for the most part. I even had requests of, "Take my picture here!"
It's The Great Pumpkin!

Dorothy was enchanted with the Cinderella cut out. She didn't want her picture with Cinderella and the Prince, but she
loved the carriage.

The Pumpkin farm also has lots and lots of animals.
Dorothy kept jerking her hand back as the giraffe was trying to get the carrot stick from her.
Malcolm really took to the ostriches and emus and such. Dorothy was a bigger fan of the small mammals.
They have a Pumpkin-eating Dinosaur. Malcolm did not want anything to do with this.
Once it had a pumpkin in its mouth, Dorothy moved up to the fence for a better look. While its mouth was open, I had to hold her.
Pig race! This was much, much cuter than I thought it was going to be. There were tons of pork related puns and the pigs really ran since the winner got to eat the apple cider doughnut at the end. The Pumpkin-eating Dinosaur is over seeing the race.
Speaking of apple cider doughnuts, we also had some and enjoyed a nice break from our playing.
Since it was hot out, we went with the cold cider this year.
She has a cinnamon sugar mustache.
The kids really liked the "Charlotte's Web" climbing area. This was new to us this year, and was really cute.
It looked like a nice spot to rest and and a nap.

Dorothy really liked this little pumpkin house.
Malcolm liked that there were real pumpkins inside the pumpkin house.
Both kids took turns with a ring toss game. Dorothy sat on Kevin's shoulders so it would swing farther.
Normally, I can not get both kids to sit together and be in the same picture. Today, they sat together multiple times, and even requested a couple. I was shocked and figure that I'll never be this lucky again and pictures for the holiday cards will be especially painful.
They loved this inflatable pumpkin guy and this was one of their requested photos.
I prefer the set ups like this. It would be great for a large group, but is a bit big for just two kids.

Malcolm sat down on this hay bale display and Dorothy joined him. It wouldn't be my first choice of background, but I'm not going to say no to getting a decent picture of them together. Malcolm was a little sweaty and it was time to go.
On the way out, each kid got to pick a small pie pumpkin. I'll probably make pumpkin waffles with them once we are done decorating with them.
Malcolm grabbed the first, smallest one he could find.
Dorothy was more selective, and we had to tell her not to take one from the bottom of the pile. She liked this one with the long stem.
It was a big day and we all napped hard when we got home. It was a good time, but a little strange to go while it was so warm.
