Science!

This past weekend was the science fair at Malcolm's school.  Dorothy had a container of instant snow in her Christmas stocking, so we used that as his experiment.  It wasn't super science-y, but there was exact measuring involved and the kids could see the drastic change quickly and easily.  We brought the sand table Kevin built to dump the snow in so the kids could feel in and play with it too.  The goal of the science fair is for the kids to be as hands-on as possible, and this seemed to fit the bill.

Playing in the snow.  Behind them was another popular experiment where the kids raced different items (marbles, beads, balls of play-doh, jingle bells, etc) through a marble track to see which was the fastest.

Dorothy made Kevin's day when he asked her if she wanted to keep playing snow or go do more science, and she answered, "More science!" She's such a daddy's girl.
